ABOUT

Welcome to the 2019 Tour of London. Five stages of fun that put you in the middle of a next-level experience with a community as dedicated as you are. Join us as we kick off this special Tour for the third year in a row. Taking place in the immersive London course, riders will get to experience five of its routes up close and personal. There’s something for everyone here, whether you’re a newcomer or a Zwift veteran.

The action ramps up right from the start. Find a group based on the distance you want to ride and go at your own pace. Want to roll with different groups on different stages? No problem. Have fun, chat with fellow Zwifters, and be generous with those Ride Ons!

By the way, if you’re on the prowl for a fresh in-game look, finish all five stages to get your hands on the Tour of London kit.

IS THIS A RACE?

Not for Groups A, B, and C. For these groups it's a personal challenge against the clock. Some participants will ride fast but there’s no podium at the end of the Tour. It's all about getting on the bike, pushing yourself, and completing all 5 stages.

NEW! For the 2019 Tour we are also offering an "E" Group. The "E" stands for "Elite" and yes, these are races. Race against your fellow Zwifters but expect the action to be fast and furious from the start. Recommended w/g is 3.5-5.0. If going anaerobic out of the pen is your cup of English tea then is the group for you.

GROUPS

- A Group (Long Distance) = The A Group rides the long-distance event. It’s not a faster group. Just a group that wants to ride a longer stage. Men and women can join this group.

- B Group (Short Distance) = The B Group rides the short-distance event. It’s not a slower group. Just a group that wants to ride a shorter stage. Men and women can join this group.

- C Group (Women Only) = The C Group is just for women.

- E Group (Elite Racers) = The E Group is the race group averaging 3.7-5.0 w/kg. Separate races for men and women.

Zwifters can join different groups on different stages.

[Cycling] [Race] Lamb Chop Series (Thu, 19 Dec 2019 20:45:00 +0000)

1 week 5 days hence

Groups in this event:
(A) pace: 4.0 to 5.0 w/kg 1 rider signed up
(B) pace: 3.2 to 3.9 w/kg 1 rider signed up
(C) pace: 2.5 to 3.1 w/kg 0 riders signed up
(D) pace: 1.0 to 2.4 w/kg 3 riders signed up
And we’re back. The next batch of races in the Lamb Chop series is here.

Kicking off November 14, we’re bringing six more weeks of races that’ll push the limits of your endurance. Join the Black Sheep Cycling and AHDR Chop for six weeks of fast-paced action in a unique handicap format. What does that mean exactly? Well, a handicap race means people are grouped by skill and staggered, with slower riders taking off first. This gives everyone in every grade a chance to take the overall win. So get your racing strategy dialled and be precise with your PowerUps near the finish line.

The Lamb Chop Series also gets the full treatment with live commentary from Nathan Guerra on Zwift Live. His energy is more than a match for what you see on the tarmac.

"In the chop" is an Aussie expression you won't find in classic rulebooks. But you will hear it spoken and felt in the final kilometers of a race. When ride leaders purposely cooperate to bring everyone towards the finish, "Are we in the chop?" is on many minds. Riders will use every teamwork tactic they have to conserve energy. But once the last lap hits, it’s an all-out war for the win.

[Cycling] [Group Workout] GARMIN NEVER STOP CYCLING – WORKOUT 4 (Thu, 19 Dec 2019 14:00:00 +0000)

1 week 4 days hence

Groups in this event:
(E) pace: 1.0 to 5.0 w/kg for 62 mins, 0 riders signed up
ABOUT THIS WORKOUT

Sulla base della tua precedente sessione di intervallo "Progressivo", questa volta aumenteremo il tempo trascorso in soglia durante i passaggi incrementali. Ancora una volta finendo con uno sforzo in soglia di 10 minuti.

ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS

Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop.

We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level. For more info on FTP go to: https://https://support.zwift.com/hc/en-us/articles/210208083-What-is-FTP-and-how-is-it-used-in-Zwift/

[Cycling] [Group Workout] RAD RACE Workout - FAT max (Wed, 18 Dec 2019 15:00:00 +0000)

1 week 3 days hence

Groups in this event:
(E) pace: 1.0 to 5.0 w/kg for 91 mins, 17 riders signed up
Welcome to the RAD RACE Group Workout Series, 12 weeks of workouts designed by RAD RACE Cycling! With VO2 max intervals and team training sessions, the RAD RACE team aims to put you through your paces and bring your fitness game to new levels.

Designed to keep you in top form over the winter season, this series will increase your maximum speed as we come into spring. Workouts kick off December 4 and continue every following Wednesday for 12 weeks at 7 p.m. CET (with the exception of Christmas Day).

In true RAD fashion, these workouts are about expanding our pack of the raddest riders in the world. Join in. Experience the fun.

WORKOUT

Fatmax training is highly dependent on an individual’s metabolic rate, so this workout is representing an example how it could be done. No FTP Test can determine the balance between aerobic and anaerobic metabolism - therefore you need to look deeper in metabolism.

ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop. HELPFUL HINT We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level. For more info on FTP go to: https://https://support.zwift.com/en_us/ftp-test-HypJnI_NH/
